Founded in 1952 in Treviso by Giovanni Pinarello, a former pro racer, the brand has always embodied a passion for racing and a job well done. Back then, Giovanni built his own steel frames, with one obsession: to combine elegance and performance. It wasn't long before Pinarello bikes were making a name for themselves in the biggest races, with landmark victories in the Giro and the Tour de France in the 70s and 80s, thanks to champions like Battaglin or Delgado.
Always in the vanguard, Pinarello innovated early on by integrating carbon fiber and technologies from the aeronautics industry. The arrival of Fausto Pinarelloson of the founder, combined with the vision of Marco Giachi (ex-Lamborghini engineer), gave birth to revolutionary machines such as theEspadaused by Miguel Indurain to dominate the Tour five years running.
